And Here We GO!!!

Alright, for those of you who haven't recently watched The Dark Knight I'm sorry. I recently watched the DVD for the 1st time and LOVED the intro with the Joker.

Here's an introduction of plans as they are, people involved, and the like :) I hope you enjoy this website as much as I'm going to enjoy the trip! and this isn't short.. also don't forget to view OLDER POSTS!

Then there is Ale/Ally/Alessandra/Rising Music Star and my main reason for Peru!

Here's the back story. One cold cold morning in Vail, Colorado December of 2006 two ladies decked out in sexy black pencils skirts and grey woolen vests met at the Sonnenalp Resort of Vail. They didn't get to know each other right then and there as one worked night audit and one worked days but nonetheless... they met and became very good friends!

We spent so many days that summer out on my balcony. I had a

1 bedroom upstairs and Ale had a studio downstairs. Grillouts, wine, and Hearts of Palm were wonderful!

We had friends join us often. I really loved to grill out. Mike his cousin Matt would come over for fun... then the guys next door joined us one night and man it was a BLAST so many memories!

Then there were the birthdays. Now most of the happened in 2007. I turned 24 on May 26, 2007 and Ale turned 24 little more than a week later on June 9th, 2007. What did we do? What we always did! We played dress up, went to dinner, had martinis, sang, and danced! We played city girl in the mountains.

Then I left the party as I had to work early the next morning.. the party got wilder and the cake when everywhere.. all the booze went everywhere.. and the champagne.. well Ale got most of the Champagne :)

Also that summer of 2007...

June of that year opened the free Bud light summer concert series at Ford Park (http://www.vvf.org/)

The Wailers opened that show and thus began my love affair with Reggae. The Wailers were Bob Marley's band and they wowed the crowd.
The day started with Mike going to Ale's to make her clean. Which involved alcohol.
Then Jacki gets off work steps off the bus and hears music... so we venture to the village eventually and get margaritas at the terrifically terrible La Cantina.. a vail hot spot.
Then off to the show! Bud and Bud light can things for $5 huge lines so everyone gets 2! Mike, Vlad, Roman, and others join.  Here are photos of the FUN!

Then Ale had to go to work.. Whoops! But never fear.. Mike checked in on her during the night and if Ale seemed uhm giggly... well no one ever seems drunk compared to Mike who can RAGE!

--- Now what happened to Ale & Jacki how did they stay friends? Well Ale moved away due to visa stuff late that summer. Jacki moved to Summit county again in the fall and they kept in touch. After almost a year there was a movie coming out that Ale & Jacki loved... The Sex and the City Movie! Well.. Ale was doing an unpaid internship in LA so Jacki flew out to once again celebrate their birthdays in 2008 in style in LA and watch this movie!

Then Ale & I had dinner where the S&TC girls when on their trip to LA and I talked Ale into riding the bull just like Samantha!!

May 2009 came and went with no birthday celebrations as Jacki was in Vail laid off for the off season and Ale was in Peru working.  We talked about Birthday celebration/Sex & The City 2 premier many time. The location went from London, NYC, Toronto, everywhere. But as it worked out I am going to Peru!

Magaly you'll see first-- we were VERY good friends during the 08/09 season. best of buds but a little too much alike so we haven't spoken since she left. However.. good memories are there and she lives in Lima so hopefully she'll respond to my message and meet up! It would be great to see her!

Leslie-- We met in Vail while I was the Supervisor at the Plaza. She worked room service and we always
had fun!!

Joann-- Our baby! She'd actually spent the 06/07 season in breck so it was her second season.. she'd also been minny mouse at disney ;) we got along very well and I'm very excited to see how she's been doing in school!  "Thank you for calling the Vail Plaza, how may I direct your call?" ;)

He was a front desk agent at the Vail Plaza as well. He, unlike the other ladies, lives in the south of Peru in a beautiful city named Arequipa.  This past 09/10 season was his THIRD in Vail!

-----Almost forgot! Racquel and I met in Breckenridge during my 07/08 season there! I didn't like ANY of the Peruvians there except her. She was totally sweet and hard working!! Can't wait!
