Ah! Civilization is amazing! Not that cusco or Arequipa are rustic but man...staying at hostels in the mountains can make one long for a long hot shower with a passion!
I returned to Lima this morning on an early flight. I paid 30 soles for a book which was 3/4 finished by the time I got off the plane!
Ale's favorite driver came to get me at the airport and with no problems and 40 soles less I arrived back at Ale's apartment. I spent time chatting with her mommy about everything! I shared photos and talked about my experiences. I need my friends to help me figure out the exact names of the dishes!
We then had a nice big lunch.
Here in Peru the tradition is to have a long multiple course lunch with a smaller dinner. I am so not adjusted to that or big meals in general! We had a wonderful zucchini soup, followed by fresh pasta meatballs and a pasta sauce. YUMMMM! Then it was a lovely bowl of probably the best pineapple i have ever had!!! It is so fresh.
That is one thing I will say... the fruit is AMAZING here. Vegetables too!
Now that I've had my lovely shower it is time to get ready for Ale's video premier. I am hoping that it turns into everything she's wanted as she's worked so hard!!!
