El último día

Well folks.. today is my last day in Lima! I thought it would be a little more crazy but I woke up early (thanks construction crew at the hotel next door for promptly jackhammering at 8am!) packed with ease and extra room and am now in the familiar game of waiting for Ale and Rosalba!
We are going to grab some fish for lunch and maybe to go the Inca markets.
Ale is getting her mani/pedi for the video and has ANOTHER dress fitting... they keep making changes and it's going crazy!

Last night was an utter dud. So much for going out and experiencing the Lima nightlife! Joann said she was coming as late as 1030pm and meeting up at 11pm but didn't show up. Magaly didn't show up.. I was never able to get ahold of Raquel and from the start Ale was tired and stressed and being crazy.  Her friends Mirriam and her sister came along but as sweet as they are they don't drink and none of them go out. BOOOO!! Leslie was tempted to skip her exam to take me out but I asked her not to as sweet of an offer it was! Omar and his cousins didn't meet up and Omar got some beauty rest.

For Lima nightlife to come to a close at more of 5am we failed by returning by 130am!
Oh well! I was able to get some reading done.

Things I look forward to in the states:
--Barnes & noble
--sleeping with my dog
--chick fil a (don't know why)
--Seeing how big the godchittlins have gotten
--finishing up the packing for Colorado
--JAMIE CULLUM CONCERTS!
--Getting ready for the british invasion of Florida in late July BEER n BOATS 2010!

Things I'm not looking forward to in the states:
--the heat
--the humidity
--southerners
--my parents
--their smoking
--finding a job waiting tables to make quick easy money

Things I will miss in Lima:
--Ale y Rosalba
--my new friends
--FOOD esp pineapple and avacado.. so fresh!
--the mountains!
--having a maid----JUST KIDDING! :)
--palm trees
--urban life
--taxis

Things I will not miss in Lima:
--The traffic
--the solicitous society
--honking of cabbies at me
--men making kissy noises at the gringa
--'Latin time'  --everyone is late--standard
--LUCAS!
