toilet paper packed!

 Ah Peru! I wish I could figure out how to type the appropriate accent over the u. :) Memories of Areuquipa and an eyebrow!

I finally managed to sleep in a little bit yesterday and had a rather lazy day. It was a shame in the end because it was actually SUNNY IN LIMA! But Ale and I enjoyed being a bit lazy... we finally went out for lunch around 3pm with her maman and Pancho. The idea was chifa but I think it was just Chinese...either way Xhi Xhi was very good! Not too greasy at all. We had a family dish, egg rolls, and lemonade. Of course there were great laughs!! 

Alessa and I then went off to the Indian market to make a bit of shopping as the foreigners would say!! I got a few gifts and have my eye on a few more but first I will practice my spanish as I intend to bargain in Spanish. I will overcome this freezing up when it comes time for me to talk!! I understand well enough especially when people speak loudly and clearly (no Sean, I did not get a hearing aid... yet). 

I was again hit by fairly severe stomach pains which lead to a mad dash to a bathroom in a supermarket.. ahh if only this entire encounter had been caught on tape. There was the dash then my running to the bathroom to encounter a rude A-hole of a bathroom attendant. I was perfectly willing to pay the 50 centimos for toilet paper but they guy...seeing I was American or didn't speak much Spanish thought he'd be an ass, take my money then point me to the loo and not give me the paper!! This went on for FIVE minutes.. other people coming and going doing the same thing I attempted but he refused to give me the papel! pago para el papel!!! I may not speak a lot of Spanish even though I am in a spanish speaking country I understand the concept of I pay to get paper for the toilets!! He was simply being a jerk. I hope he understood my classy American one finger salute I offered his way!  However, this behavior is still so rare among a  people that seem to be jovial and happy all the time even if they do walk VERY SLOWLY 

Ale and I went back to the market for more shopping then home to dress for our movie! We met Miriam for snacks got our tickets then hung out and chatted. We went to the movie and truly enjoyed it. Lots of laughs! The couple next to me must be the type that likes porn because they started making out after a sex scene and didn't really stop! haha. 

Today for me while Ale is at work I shall run, explore, hopefully book my bike city tour, and other fun things!!! I'm going to TRY to avoid the huge latin lunch!!!
