1. Becky and Adam visited from Alabama
a.Adam's 30th
b. The Westin in AVON sucks
c. Mix Master Mike (for free) was AWESOME
d. OAR was better (for free)
e. ski and ride time with them was lovely!
(side note: hung out with Marc the day before I picked them up then had a massive afternoon and evening with Mike in Denver when I dropped them off.... bottomless mimosas, Black Swann, buy one get one happy hour... ouch)
2. Just after that my friend Jay visited for a night on his way from CA to VA for the holidays. Yes, driving.
a. Had Nozowa sushi for the first time since returning. Made me miss Ale!
3. The Vera's are back!! That's right, Cris and Fabiola Vera have returned to the US on a year long visa from Peru.
a. They brought a friend, Kennth! He's great!
b. Took Kenneth and Cris to walmart to pick up supplies and goof off
c. Marc and Nick came up from Denver to hang out for the night and see the Vera's
c. Cooked enough chili to kill a cow. It was my first time and it was GOOD!
d. was left at the bar rather rudely by Marc and Nick. Cried like a baby during a 2am phone call to Daryl (hugs and kisses my best love!)
4. The day I cooked dinner was my second night in my new place! My roommate is AWESOME! STill getting to know her but her name is Aja. (asia) She is from the area, college in wisconsin, then on into the navy. Loves broadway, travel, food, and drinks occasionally at home alone! haha perfect fit so far.
5. I took off to Denver one day after realizing I had more $$ in my bank account than I thought... NEW TIRES...
a. Pep boys near park meadows sucks
b. Lunch with Marc and cheesecake factory
c. got fabi and cris cell phones
d. another happy hour with Mike at the Snugg.
e. Got an awesome, dress, belt, and shoes at Ann Taylor for christmas
6. SHONAGH WALKER RETURNS TO VAIL! -- Shonagh comes back from Australia for five weeks of wonderfulness!
7. Christmas dinner at Larkspur- minus Bill
a. two glasses of wine and a glass of champagne at Kelly Liken--boo.
8. Marc visits from Denver
1-- I made ribs for the first time ever and they were awesome! Marc, I believe, is starting to enjoy my experimenting on him. Perhaps next time I make him cook for me??
a. Bridge street crawl much? Met shonagh at the Lion, then off to the George where I met a great group of country boys from around Montgomery, Marc met farty guy and his friends then we went off to the Club
b. Fabiola gets off work. Off to the George for a shot.
c. SLEEP!
9. Jacki is exhausted from hanging out with Shonagh too many nights and with Marc but no rest!
10. Jay is back in town for a night.
a. I slept apprx 1 hour due to having earlier had a blood sugar tank out then reversing it with massive amounts of soda. Oops.
b. Started the book Jay recommended. The Brothers K.
11. New Years--- worked, cooked a steak, and took a sleeping pill. Woke up with a tight throat and can 'feel' it behind my ears.
12. TODAY! HAPPY 1-1-11!!!
13... next several days.. work about 36 hours in three days.
14. Wednesday or Thursday.. LEAVE FOR SAN FRANCISCO!
