Work still has not given me a task force assignment for the off season (again, task force is the reassignment to another resort during our two month clsure).. So I had to start planning for 'if they didnt' because I can't in good faith gobto England and Iceland for three weeks if I don't work the first three weeks. .. I will get unemployment but that can take FOREVER to come thru and would only be around 700 every two weeks.
So, I am currently researching living g in Guatemala or somewhere similar for the two months. Many south or central American counties would be easier and cheaper than hanging out at home as I can rent a furnished apt for around $100-200 usd a month
What an adventure! I am getting excited about it but, I am sad that I may not see all of my friends from camps in England. Very sad.
My responsibility is to myself though. I need to set myself up for success to move at the end of the summer and I can't do that if I spend my every penny during this off season.
Sigh.
I have a friend who runs an orphanage in Guatemala so what will be a visit, also thinking of situating myself in Livingston as it is small... Remote... Different.. And would allow for quick trips to other countries to which I've never been.
Decisions decisions! I should know more by the end of the week.
Then I will have to tell my friends in England the bad news :-(
