Wandering, Traveling...

Summer keeps getting better

I started the summer in May by getting my new passport due to loosing the other while back country snowboarding (don't ask) and had a great time seeing Jordan and meeting his roommate and best friend. All in all met a lot of great people.

Then came time for Peru. AMAZING. as you can see from all the photos! Times with best friend and her mama, making new friends, seeing my old employees. I just can't express how much I am in love with Peru.

I came back to a boring couple of weeks edged out by the excitement of a meet-up with Angelina in New Orleans for Jordan's birthday! How fun! We even went down for the whole week for tubing with James, Jordan and their friends.

In early May I had toyed with moving either back to Colorado or to New Orleans for work. Why not try something different? I didn't discuss it much but after being in the mountains of Peru I KNOW I want to live in the mountains for as long as possible. As much as family and friends want me to marry or at least meet someone (already have..sigh)  it won't happen there.  One guy friend remarked "Will you ever slow down to meet a guy and be happy? Would you ever move for a guy?"  The simple answer was that no one has asked me to do so yet.  :D

Now Angelina and I are set to do this kind of impulsive job the rest of the summer. We will be on the rib cookoff circuit traveling the nation. Why not? Good money and this way I won't have to leave an employer high and dry when it's time to move back to CO.

Found out today that our six day break will leave us between fresno and Reno.  What does this mean??
YOSEMITE!!! I e-mailed Jay today with a ton of questions. He's a wilderness firefighter during the summer so I won't be able to see him while I'm in Yosemite but I don't mind pumping my friend for info!
I am also wanting to spend a day in San Fran with Angelina and her friend and maybe an afternoon poking around Tahoe. Who knows!
The point is..
I WILL BE BAGGING ANOTHER NATIONAL PARK THIS SUMMER!
yay! See.. God works things out in his own special way.

I hope you are all well.. and until the next time... travel the road less traveled but stay true to yourself.

xx
