My friend Samuel ( a hopeless vandy fan---hasn't learned it's not the decade for TN football yet sigh) posted this. As he said it's good to write something if not for you to know me better but for myself to see how I've grown at some point down the line.
1: Something you hate about yourself.
I tend to sit back and watch. This apparently makes me look unapproachable. I guess it interferes with getting attractive men to buy me drinks when I'm out ;)
2: Something you love about yourself. I will do just about anything for anyone else. I wish I had more money so I could loan it out to people in need. I've been there (am there now) and money causes so much stress.. if I've got a little extra I'm going to share it!
3: Something you have to forgive yourself for.
Being sensitive to my friends being judgemental over my lifestyle. I get so mad at people I grew up with who think that I'm not doing anything with my life because I am not married, with kids, and a house. I mean MAD.. it upsets me deeply that they are so short sighted. So I need to get over it and forgive myself for being different rather than being defensive. (oh and i also forgive myself for that whole dating Aaron Ausherman disaster!!!)
4: Something you have to forgive someone for.
I have to forgive my best friend in St. Louis for being like everyone of my friends back home when she had a baby even though she swore she'd be different. She's human, I'm human.. and she's busy changing diapers..
5: Something you hope to do in your life.
Travel the world and volunteer or give back in each place I go.
6: Something you hope you never have to do.
I hope to never need to move back to Alabama again.
7: Someone who has made your life worth living for.
Me. I pay my bills, pick myself up, depend upon myself more than I ever depended on my parents, my friends, or boyfriends. I do it alone and I like that and I respect myself for this.
8: Someone who made your life hell.
AARON AUSHERMAN-- still living in Vail to this day I always try to wear a hat or something so that if he happens to get on the same bus as me he won't notice me and bother me. and all the past drama and he's respnosible for the negative thoughts I have about myself these days.
9: Someone you didn’t want to let go, but just drifted\
I guess Eliza. I hope it's not final.10: Someone you need to let go, or wish you didn’t know.
I don't like this question either. I try to the point of being foolish to find the good in people and trust them. I have let go and wish I didn't know Aaron and honestly my father. He's just not a nice person, never will be and he unfortuantly knows how to push my buttons.11: Something people seem to compliment you the most on.
People like my hair color. and my organization skills (obviously organization doesn't pertain to my car--SAM)12: Something you never get compliments on.
My china-man eyes. They are a pretty color whether green or blue. 13: A band or artist that has gotten you through some tough days.
Hmm. If i'm in a down mood I listen to way too emo music. But I do like Jamie Cullum, Band of Horses, and for some reason Augustana's Boston always gets me.
14: A hero that has let you down.
I wouldn't say a hero but the hotel I just recently left, based upon interviews I turned down several higher paying jobs for that one.. and they totally mislead me. but I'm thankful to not be wasting anymore time with them.
15: Something or someone you couldn’t live without, because you’ve tried living without it.
Public transit. God bless airplanes, subways, and busses.
16: Someone or something you definitely could live without.
living situation and work drama. I'm over it. I'll be happy when I've lived in the same apartment for more than a year and had the same job for more than two years.
17: A book you’ve read that changed your views on something.
Little Bee.
18: Your views on gay marriage.
I honestly think if it's what a portion of society needs let them have it. I am CERTAINLY in favor of partner rights and benefits and adoption. It's not up to me to judge about their lifestyle nor would I care to.. most importantly the argument about the sanctity of marriage is just crap. That illusion was gone years ago.
19: What do you think of religion? Or what do you think of politics?
Big frustrations, lots of close mindedness... I think we should definatly have to prove that people are informed and not dumb @55 southerners before being allowed to vote :)
20: Your views on drugs and alcohol.
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. If you aren't harming ANYONE yourself included.. knock yourself out.21: (scenario) Your best friend is in a car accident and you two got into a fight an hour before. What do you do?
Turn into a total mess, get myself over there, and swear to kill them the moment I know they are okay.
22: Something you wish you hadn’t done in your life. I used to happily say I have no regrets, Thanks Aaron Ausherman for screwing that one up but either way. I have that regret but here recently not being happy has made me question some choices I've made in the last year but I look at it to see something good will come out of the bad rather than wishing I'd not done it.
23: Something you wish you had done in your life.
I think having a gap year between high school and college would ahve been good.
24: Make a playlist to someone, and explain why you chose all the songs. I refuse this question on the grounds of it's stupid.
25: The reason you believe you’re still alive today. Someone somewhere was watching over nearly everyone in my high school because we all drove way to fast and took too many risks.. but what can you tell a teenager?
26: Have you ever thought about giving up on life?
no
27: What’s the best thing going for you right now? .
I'm loosing some of the weight I'm working hard to loose.. that's all I have right now.
28: What if you were pregnant or got someone pregnant, what would you do?
Start praying .. immaculate conceptions are rare these days.
29: Something you hope to change about yourself, and why.
I'd like to be a bit more stable before I go off on a rant about this. I'm too self aware and it's not a good thing at this point.
30: Favorite holiday, and why.
Not really into holidays.
I like seasons better. Fall in New York, Spring at the beach, warm spring days on the mtn in Colorado... etc.
Thief! And I know your car is organized. You always seem to know that whatever you're looking for will be in your car!
